Where'd you study design at? Also, if you didn't grow up in the city, how difficult was it to adjust to city life for your career? I hate the city so much but I have a year left for my BFA in design and I'm dreading the fact that Manhattan is where you're going to find 99% of the work out there.
I studied at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in DC, which is were I grew up. I came to NY to work. Thats it. I hate NY and you are right, this is where the money is… even though its all filters back into the city with the high rent, taxes and public transit. Philly, Chicago and San Fran are also good cities to find Graphic Design work, although there aren’t AS many jobs at NY.
